Barnegat Light is at the northern end of Long Beach island making it an ideal location for those who just want to relax without all the usual tourist attractions.  There is a great deal less traffic and congestion at this end.  There’s also a lot less to do in the way of shopping and dining.  If you like surf fishing, the jetties at the lighthouse park  offer an excellent opportunity to fish Barnegat inlet .  There also a number of party and charter boats sailing from Barnegat Light.
