Morrison's | lbiviews
Note – Morrison’s burned in September 2005 due to a fire that began in the kitchen. The restaurant had served the island since the 1940’s.
Kyle’s Review
Morrison’s is located on 3rd street at the bay. This is also the location of the public docks which are a favorite of local fisherman. (Be careful with the kids because the water is deep and the current is strong.) Morrison’s is located right on the water. The nest seats are the window seats. However almost every table has a decent water view. Some of the the tables closest to the window are a bit crowded.
The waterfront view is one of the best on the island. The Intracoastal waterway runs right by the restaurant so you get to see a parade of boats all day long.
Service is almost always friendly and excellent (as in any shore restaurant there is always turnover and some of the college students leave near the end of the season. Morrison’s is known for it’s seafood.
Parking is a little tight in the area but there is parking available in their lot. Just look for the signs.
We stopped in for lunch on a Monday. Since it was a weekday we were able to get a window table with an excellent bay view immediately. I ordered their crab cake sandwich on a kaiser roll. The crab cake was good and not overly spiced. For dessert I had a chocolate mouse with caramel. That was simply great.
So, if you want a place to relax and enjoy the view while having a great meal, Morrison’s should definitely be on your list.
Kiki’s Review
Eating at Morrisons feels as if your manning a cruise ship you are right smack on the bay. For Lunch I had an oyster sandwich with french fries and coleslaw. The oysters were fresh , plump, juicy, and lightly breaded excellent. For dessert I had Key Lime pie.
