Kelly's Old Barney

Kelley’s Old Barney Restaurant is located in the shadow of the Barnegat Lighthouse on Broadway near the bay.

It is a quaint place with a counter, tables and outdoor dining. The walls are lined with wall dioramas featuring Long Beach Island locations.

We visited on the weekend after Labor Day. There was still a good crowd for lunchtime. I ordered a Turkey club with fries. Service was great as was the meal.

If you want desert, you can go to the Dairy Queen which is part of the building. Depending on how busy things are, you can take your ice cream down to the benches by the bay.

The restaurant is located adjacent to the parking lot for the Barnegat Light State Park.

Kelly’s has been operating since the 1970’s. If you are in the Barnegat Light area and want a good meal with friendly service in a quaint, seashore atmosphere, it’s a great choice.
