Kyle’s Review

The Restaurant is somewhat eclectic with a variety of modern art and sculpture for sale and as decorations. The hardwood floors make for a fairly high noise level which is somewhat offset by acoustical panels in the rich blue ceiling.

We were seated promptly and served by a waiter who was very attentive throughout the evening. Blue is BYOB. We shared a Timbale appetizer which was crabmeat, avocado and a Lobster mousse. That was a definite winner. For my main course I opted for the coriander encrusted scallops which was server this pea risotto and escarole. The flavoring and presentation were excellent.

For dessert I ordered cappuccino and a cherry custard. That was good but I had a piece of the Peanut butter chocolate cake our son ordered. That took some time to arrive but the wait was well worth it. When we go back I’ll be sure to order the peanut butter/chocolate cake.

I suppose that the men’s room was decorated in keeping with an artsy eclectic atmosphere. My only gripe was that working the sink was a bit of a challenge. I’m very mechanically inclined however the faucets didn’t want to turn off. Oh well, I suppose Form won out over Function.

The crowd ranged mostly from the early 20’s to seasoned citizens. We dined on a weekday so the place was almost empty when we arrived at 7 pm. By 8:30 it was about ¾ full with a lively crowd. They don’t have a separate kid’s menu but they were kid friendly.

Kiki’s Review

Blue is a casual restaurant with white tablecloths and candle lit tables. To start I had crab and avocado timbale – it was very good. For dinner I had poached lobster. Modern art paintings and sculpture are displayed throughout the restaurant. Many are for sale. We had excellent service. For dessert I had Key lime pie – it had the best flavor ever.
